Huawei Honor 8 gets July 5 Launch date- Specs & Price in Ghana Nigeria

The Huawei Honor 8 is said to be a stepped down version of the Honor V8 released last month. Although both devices don't share the same design specs, one common feature in both smart phones is the dual 12 mega-pixel camera on the back.

The Huawei Honor 8 is rumored to get a July 5 launch and will sport a 5.2-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and another version wit a Quad HD 2.5D curved glass display. The device will be powered by an Octa-core Kirin 955 processor with Mali T880-MP4 GPU.

The mid-range device will boot Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and features a fingerprint sensor and also a infrared sensor whose purpose is unclear.

The Huawei Honor 8 packs a dual 12 mega-pixel rear facing camera as well as an 8 mega-pixel front facing camera. The rear camera also features dual-tone LED flash.

The Honor 8 will also carry a huge 3200mAh capacity removable battery under its hood which offers quick charging support.

The Huawei Honor 8 is rumored to come wit a price tag of 2000 yuan in China (US$ 304 and Rs. 20,460 in India) for the base variant and the price goes up to 2800 yuan (US$ 425 / Rs. 28,652 in India) for the 128GB variant with a Quad HD display. It is expected to be announced on July 5th.

Although the Huawei Honor 8 may not be available Ghana or Nigeria as soon as it is launched but when it does arrive, it will likely get a price tag of about 80,000 - 120,000 Naira in Nigeria and about 8,000 - 12,000 Ghanaian Cedis
